Paramutation
Refers to an epigenetic phenomenon via which the "instructions" (in the form of expressed RNA) of a given allele (i.e. one specific version of a particular gene) are executed in subsequent generation(s) of the organism, when that allele itself has not been inherited by that subsequent-generation.
